PolitiCall: Privacy Policy
Information we collect.
PolitiCall uses iCloud to privately store your favorite reps and to sync them to your other devices. We don’t have access to those saved records, that’s private to you, the user.
If you’ve elected to share diagnostic and analytics information with third-party developers as part of setting up your device, we may get periodic, anonymized analytics reports for things like reporting crashes.
Deleting your Data. When you delete saved representatives from the app, PolitiCall deletes these from your iCloud storage (when a network connection is available). If you’ve deleted the app and would like to permanently delete data you’ve saved from your iCloud storage, you can do so by deleting it from iCloud inside your device’s Settings app.
Information Usage
Anonymized diagnostic information and analytics collected by your device (as described above) may be used to help make PolitiCall more reliable. These do not contain personal or identifiable information.
If you report an issue over email, Twitter, etc., we may reach out and ask for additional details to try and troubleshoot. Any information you supply during these conversations will only be used to help address technical issues and will not be shared.
About Contact Usage
PolitiCall allows you to enter your address or choose the address from a contact in order to find your members of Congress. When you choose to select an address from a contact, PolitiCall gets only that address and nothing else about the associated contact.
This information is used to help identify your congressional district, and is not saved.
Third-party Links and Content
PolitiCall displays links and content from third-party sources, primarily from government websites. These may have their own privacy policies that are beyond the scope of this document. We assume no responsibility or liability for the content of these sites or their activities.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We don’t collect or maintain information from anyone we know to be under the age of 13. PolitiCall is not designed or structured to attract users under the age of 13. Should a user under the age of 13 like to use PolitiCall, the developer recommends this would be a great opportunity for a family teaching moment about how our democracy works. 😉
